UPDATE:

RCMP are still trying to determine whether a woman was actually struck by a car last night in Westbank.

A report came in to West 91大黄鸭 RCMP on Dec. 29 at 5:41 p.m. of a pedestrian struck in the Walmart parking lot.

鈥淭he investigating officer at the scene was provided with conflicting information from both the driver and the pedestrian,鈥� says Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey.

鈥淎t this time, police are unable to verify that a collision between the red Hyundai SUV and the pedestrian in fact took place.鈥�

O'Donaghey says the female pedestrian, who displayed no visible injuries, was examined inside the store by emergency paramedics and released at the scene.

RCMP are asking any independent witnesses to this incident to come forward and contact the West 91大黄鸭 Detachment at 250-768-2880.
