The St. Clair Saints out of Windsor, Ontario captured their first CJFL Canadian Bowl title with a 37-22 win over the Okanagan Sun out of 91大黄鸭.

The Okanagan Sun's dream of a second Canadian Bowl in three years has been denied.

In a game full of huge momentum swings, the St. Clair Sants' string of 28 unanswered points proved to be the answer in the 37-22 victory for the home team from Windsor.

The win snapped a 25-year title drought from an Ontario win. The last victory, in 1999, was the Windsor AKO Fratmen defeating, fittingly, the Okanagan Sun.

Coming out of the gates hot, the Sun jumped to a 15-6 halftime lead. Midway through the third quarter, after a field goal cut the Sun lead to 6, quarterback Liam Kroeger connected with receiver Ty Walker for a massive 76-yard touchdown to extend the Sun's lead to 22-9.

However, that would be the end of the Sun scoring for the season, as the feisty Saints found the end zone four times, reeling off 28 straight to win, 37-22.

Despite the loss, the Sun have had an impressive string of seasons. In the past three years, the team has a cumulative record of 35-2, which includes two trips to the national championship (and one victory), two undefeated regular seasons and just two losses to a team from the BC Conference.
