Sip Sip Hooray!

Sorrento Elementary鈥檚 most anticipated fundraiser is back.

The school鈥檚 Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) will host the hot ticket event, Sip Sip Hooray, at Shuswap Lake Estates for what the PAC says in a media release will be 鈥渁n unforgettable evening of dinner, dancing and FUNdraising.鈥�

The adults-only event features dinner of a burger and selections of salads, a complimentary beverage of choice 鈥� beer, wine or highball 鈥� cash bar and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks to keep revellers hydrated as they dance the night away to a soundtrack of party beats spun by a DJ.

The evening will also include a silent auction and 50/50 draw, with fabulous items available. To ensure the night ends on a high note, the PAC has also arranged a Safe Ride Home program for participants.

鈥淎s a parent and member of the Sorrento Elementary School Community, I see first-hand how the generosity of the community impacts our kids. The funds raised from this event directly support educational programs, resources and extracurricular activities that enrich the lives of our students,鈥� PAC president Rebecca Taylor said in the release. 鈥淏y coming together to support Sip Sip Hooray, we get to have a great time and invest in the children and educators at Sorrento Elementary.鈥�

Tickets for the event are $30 each, and available online at , where drink tickets can be pre-purchased as well.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 6, from 5 p.m. to midnight, at the Shuswap Lake Estates Community Centre in Blind Bay.
