Options have been identified to deal with water discolouration  in the Rose Valley Water Service Area.

Although the City of West 91大黄鸭 maintains the water is safe to drink, and no water quality advisories are needed, customers have been putting up with light to dark brown water. 

There is a precautionary, isolated water quality advisory related to watermain flushing in the former West 91大黄鸭 Estates System.

Higher levels of manganese, a lingering effect of last year鈥檚 McDougall Creek wildfire, are to blame for the issue. The city accounted for those effects but did not foresee the amounts of manganese, according to a statement.

鈥淐onsultants and crews are working as quickly as possible, but the established solutions will require several days of testing, sampling and equipment installation.鈥�

An alternative source of drinking water is available at the bulk filling station at Asquith and Shannon Lake Roads.
