British Columbia ranks second on U-Haul's list of top growing provinces, the same spot it held at last year's report.

91大黄鸭, however, fell from its previous ranking of fourth for growing Canadian cities down to 23 on the list.

Alberta took top spot for provincial population growth, while Ontario sat at the bottom of the list for another year.

鈥淧eople are moving to Alberta because of the opportunities and investments being made in the province,鈥 stated Naga Chennamsetty, U-Haul Area District Vice President. 鈥淭he cost of living is not as bad as compared to some other provinces. You have the Canadian Rockies and lots of recreational activities. It鈥檚 all of these factors. And it鈥檚 not really international migration that brings people to Alberta 鈥 it鈥檚 interprovincial migration. I also think people are still moving to British Columbia because it is beautiful and offers a slower, laid-back lifestyle.鈥

In B.C., Chilliwack (16), Sidney (20), Trail (22), and Nanaimo (25) made the U-Haul Growth Index's top 25 growing Canadian cities.
