Lake Country’s 7th annual ‘Recycle your Christmas Tree’ a success

This year’s event raised $250 and 300 lbs of food for the Lake Country Food Bank

The seventh annual ‘Recycle your Christmas Tree’ program in Lake Country was a success.

To make getting rid of Christmas trees easier, every year Living The Dream Real Estate, and in partnership with the District of Lake Country, ask residents who want to participate to leave their trees outside for pick up with a non-perishable food item that goes to the Lake Country Food Bank.

This year’s event took place on Jan. 7, as Christmas trees all around town were picked by by Gibson Contracting.

In total, 300 pounds of food and $250 in cash donations were raised for the food bank. It’s unknown how many trees were picked up.
