A snowfall warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway, with the worst expected to hit at noon.

Up to 15 centimetres of snow is currently expected to fall along the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt on Dec. 26.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for a Pacific frontal system that is hitting the B.C. Interior, with snowfall expected to intensify near noon at the Coquihalla Summit.

The Coquihalla snowshed protocol is also being activated due to the predicted amounts of snow, which means additional road crews will be on the highway.
