Westside Road to remain closed until at least April 7: DriveBC

According to DriveBC, a portion of Westside Road will remain closed until at least Monday morning, April 7.

A portion of Westside Road is going to be closed until at least next week due to a landslide, according to DriveBC.

In its latest update just after 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, the province's traveller information site stated Westside Road from Main Street and Denison Road will remain closed with the next update on the situation coming Monday, April 7 at 9 a.m.

Central Okanagan Emergency Operations has not yet provided an update for April 3. 

Late Tuesday night (April 1), a landslide swept across Westside Road, causing the closure. 

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue confirmed on Wednesday, April 2 that the area was "cleared", meaning no one is missing as a result of the slide.

Black Press Media has reached out to B.C.'s Ministry of Transportation for further information.
