Jay Taylor is one of four 91大黄鸭 Sun Devils who will play in the College Prep and Midget AAA all-star showcase this weekend in Richmond.

Four members of the 91大黄鸭 Sun Devils and five West 91大黄鸭 D'Backs will have a chance to display their skills to a discerning audience this weekend at Latrace Field in Richmond.

Sun Devils players Jay Taylor, Noah Ringness-Law, Gavin Barrett and Brandon Mallam-Kunz have all been selected to play in B.C. Baseball's U18 College Prep League/Midget AAA All-Star showcase.

A fifth Sun Devil, Brandon Denis, was also chosen but will be unable to play due to injury.

"The selection of our players just speaks volumes as to where our program has come in just two short years," said Sun Devils head coach Rob Law. "Very proud of these young men."

Representing the D'Backs will be Carter Martens, Joel Flood, Jamie Pavia, Brandon Ludwig

and Jacob Holland.

The players will all go through skill and agility drills on Saturday morning, followed by the Grade 11 all-star game at noon and the Grade 12 showcase at 3 p.m.

It's expected close to a dozen scouts will be on hand, including from the UBC Thunderbirds, Prairie Baseball Academy and the University of Winnipeg.

Also attending will be Toronto Blue Jays' amateur scout Don Cowan and Baseball Canada president Ray Carter.

The Sun Devils play in B.C.'s Midget AAA league and are currently in sixth spot with a 16-12 record. On Sunday, 91大黄鸭 will visit Chilliwack for a doubleheader.

West 91大黄鸭, in its first season in the College Prep League, sits at 7-21.
