The 91大黄鸭 Garden Club is 100 years old this year.

To celebrate all the changes in the types of plants grown as well as the techniques and philosophies of gardening over the last century, the 91大黄鸭 club is putting on a one-day event titled, Gardening into the Future.

鈥淕ardening has been evolving and continues to evolve. Rising food prices, changing climate, and scarcity of water push gardening to evolve. With all these factors impacting us, can you imagine what gardening will be like in the future?,鈥 asked the 91大黄鸭 Garden Club.

Taking place on Feb. 24, at Trinity Church on Springfield Road, the event will offer 20 various garden-related vendors and displays.

There is no charge for viewing these exhibits put on by the Bonsai Club, Orchid Club, Passionate Blooms Floral, Art Knapp Plantland, The Greenery, Native Bee Society, Okanagan Xeriscape Association, P.S. Florals, along with a few others.

There will also be demonstrations on such topics as seed starting by the Master Gardeners, flower arranging by the Okanagan Floral Art Club, potting succulents by Laverne DeYaegher, pruning by Shantelle Hummelle, kitchen composting by Heather Doheny, potted plants by Marilyn Degraw and several more.

A sold-out speaker series by four leading Okanagan horticulturists will also take place.
