91大黄鸭's Gospel Mission invites the community to a fundraising 5K walk  or 10K run March 5  at 259 Leon Avenue,with those they  serve in our  Strides to End Homelessness walk.

A delicious meal of hot chili and special treats will be served, after the walk, in their dining room.

The goal this year is to raise $35,000 to support the mission's Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 Programs.

These biblically based programs include learning life skills, anger management, emotional intelligence, boundaries, and volunteer work at the shelter and thrift store.

鈥淚鈥檓 amazed to see the changes that have come over the men in our program.  I see a change in the heart attitude, entering into a place where they are asking how they can help the other guys with their recovery," said Pastor Lester Mesenbrink, program manager for the Men鈥檚 Step Up program.

"It is so gratifying to see a man come into the program down and out and start to build up to a place where they feel hope for their future.  This walk gives the community a chance to not only support the programs but see first hand the difference they are making鈥�.
